Cancer touches countless lives, and Warsaw Community High School’s (WCHS) Cheer Block is once again rallying to show support. On October 4, 2024, we invite the community to join for the annual Pink Out Night, where we come together to raise awareness and stand with those affected by cancer. Cancer survivors attending the game will receive free admission and a special appreciation gift at the admission gates.
Event Details:
Date: Friday, October 4, 2024
Time: Kickoff at 7:00 PM
Location: WCHS Football Game vs. Mishawaka
To participate, we encourage everyone to wear a 2024 Pink Out Shirt or purchase a pink ribbon at the game. You can order your Pink Out shirt online at the link below—the online store closes on Tuesday, September 24 at midnight to ensure orders are processed in time for delivery by October 3. If you'd like to pay by cash or check, please email Leslie Jackson at ljackson@warsawschools.org. All orders must be paid by September 25. Order your Pink Out shirt here: warsawpinkout.itemorder.com/shop/home.
If you’re wearing your 2024 Pink Out shirt or purchase a ribbon at the game, we invite you to join the Cheer Block in the halftime “Walk the Block.” We'll take a lap around the track to celebrate survivors, support those with a current cancer diagnosis and remember those impacted by cancer. For those in the stands, we encourage you to stand in your seat.
In addition to the fans, student cheer block members and cheerleaders will wear their Pink Out shirts, and cheerleaders will be selling pink ribbons at the game. Even our football team is stepping up, wearing pink shoelaces in support.
President of the Cheer Block Leadership Team, Ruth Heckaman, shared, “I think being a leader during Pink Out night is an amazing opportunity to show my support for families who have been affected by breast cancer. Having the community come together to show their support as well makes for a beautiful experience.”
We extend a special thank-you to Kari Vilamaa, Tri Kappa and A&G Beauty for their generosity and support in making this event possible.
