Here's what you need to know: 📅 Tuesdays & Thursdays ⏰ 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM 📍 Enter at Door 14 of the high school TRAC Whether it's open basketball, volleyball, pickleball, or a brisk walk/jog on the track, there's something for everyone. Admission Details: 👥 Adults must accompany minors. 🎟️ All WCS employees & their immediate family get in FREE with their ID badge. 💵 $2 per individual or $5 for family (if not WCS employees) Please note that community hours won't be available during non-school days and will conclude on April 30, 2024. 🌟 Exciting Field Trip to Zimmer Biomet! 🌟 Yesterday's adventure was all about building connections and expanding horizons. As a STEM-certified school, Edgewood is committed to bringing real-world experiences into our classrooms! Their collaboration with Zimmer Biomet was a fantastic opportunity to bridge the gap between education and industry. Through three engaging rotations, Edgewood teachers witnessed virtual reality hip replacement surgeries, explored robotics in the saw bone lab and engaged in enlightening discussions with Zimmer Biomet engineers and HR specialists. This immersive experience not only broadened their knowledge but also highlighted the essential employability skills our future workforce needs. The consensus among our educators? His dedication to students and education has left a lasting impact! 💬 Jaylen Journey: Jaylen Wiliam's inspiring story of resilience and determination left a big impression on us all. Caring WCS educators nurtured his potential through some tough circumstances, leading him to become a dedicated applied-skills employee, driven to make a positive impact and inspire others. 👕 Innovative Spirit of Williams: Cooper Williams and his mom Ashlie, the minds behind the Shamrock Shop, were recognized for playing a pivotal role in connecting our WCS schools through a network of clothing closets. 💖 Jayden's Kindness: WCS spotlighted Jayden Young who chose kindness over gifts last Christmas, raising over $1,000 last year to support fellow Leesburg students in need and created "Sunshine Bags" for those grieving the loss of a loved one. 🍴 Food Service Heroes: Brenda Martinez and Teresa Helm's dedication to nourishing students was celebrated and appreciated.
